The Titan Fitness Olympic Triceps Bar is a fantastic piece of equipment for the price. Got this for well under 50 bucks to my door, and there is literally NOTHING else worth owning in that price range. I have used many different bars, and I am very pleased with the Titan bar.
1. Put together very well with bronze bushings and CLIPS! (no sloppy bolts here).
2. Nice weight.
3. Sleeves spin nicely.
4. Looks dynamite.
5. holds a ton... well at least 200 pounds anyway. If you need more weight on a triceps bar, you probably can't buy shirts off the shelf.
1. Chrome plating; bars just feel better with Zinc or similar grippy finishes.
2. Bushings could be a little tighter and I'd be happier.
3. Knurling is so-so.
Overall, my feeling is that this is a good bar. If it was 100 bucks, I would have given it a "4" for quality. Fact is though, it was well under 50 to my door. In fact, it was just a notch over 40. I've paid more for a case of good beer! The bar is well made. The welds are not a thing of beauty, but they are quite solid, penetrate fully and honestly are not even that bad looking compared to other brands (Hey Cap, are you listening?). On that subject, a Cap Triceps bar is at least 20 bucks more and doesn't touch this thing in any category. Anyway, I'm wasting time on words. Buy it if you want to do hammers, tri work, etc... I don't have to tell you guys how to use a bar. buy it and you won't be disappointed.
I was actually surprised by the quality of the bar. I have handled the CAP brand triceps bar which is in this price range, and must say the Titan is much better. The handles are straight and the welds are solid. It is chrome, not zinc plated. The sleeves spin freely and appear to have a bronze bushing. At any rate, I gave the sleeves a squirt of Remington gun oil. I put the bar to use the day I got it, and it feels great. I may purchase another one as a much more affordable alternative to doing farmer carries. Simply stated, this is a good, solid, heavy bar, which should outlive me in my home gym, all for 40 dollars.
