Listing suggest mounting hardware is included. Neither the listing nor the paperwork included in package suggests what type of mounting hardware to use. This is a really bad business practice. "I'll sell you the steel, but you gotta figure out what to do with it." It basically requires a professional for installation; otherwise the user is taking a big safety risk. Tell me, Titan Fitness, what size Wall Lag bolt is appropriate, to match your claim of 350lb capacity. Without the right mounting hardware there's no way it can just magically support that weight. The attachment to the wall is the first line of defense when considering capacity. People aren't 'standing' on this device. Common sense says 'include' the appropriate hardware, or at least instructions as to what hardware is appropriate (for stud and/or concrete installation). Is M8 good enough for mounting? Most of the other bolts used for this device are M10 or M12.
It's only 4 lag screws to mount and for the price of the bar you can't complain about having to go out and purchase these mounting screws to hang the bar HOWEVER for convenience sake as a consumer charge $5 more and put the lag screws with the bar as it's more convenient . ????????????????
This unit is very heavy duty. It was shipped quickly and arrived in great shape. It took me about an hour to install by myself in my garage. I did a lot of price/product research online and I don't see how this unit can be beat. Obviously I'm very satisfied. Now, if I could just buy a little more ambition;-)
Ordered this for a Father's Day gift for my Dad, he loves it. It came in the mail quickly however the packaging was not very good, the box wasn't sturdy enough for this heavy duty bar/material and was falling apart when it arrive. Thankfully everything was there and not too beat up, but it does not include the mounting bolts.
All in all he is extremely happy with it!
