I worked with fitness gear for quite a long time. I’ve seen really cheap equipment being labeled for fitness equipment ideal for home. This might be the first budget item I’ve seen that lives up to the reviews. The price May scare you compared to competitors, but, if this thing holds up for the distant future; it’s a steal.
You will need to have weights to make sure it’s anchored down if you decide, like I did, to attach other fitness items to it like band etc. but I bought the upgraded pull up bar and dip insert and I am blown away at how useful and comfortable they are in my hands. Remember everyone is different but they feel great while gripping.
Set up was a breeze. But I had to locate some directions on the product page. All instructions are online from what I can tell. They could due to update that portion.
The bolts look heavy duty and felt it. The welds were as expected. But I’m telling you, this cage is a great find for someone who isn’t looking to break the bank or need heavy structure for heavy lifitong. I’m a pull up, push up and dip kind of guy. It checks all my boxes. I find creative ways to incorporate legs with my TRX hooked up.
Thank you titan fitness for making it affordable to work out at home.
purchased this rack and the 10 inch extension. it took my neighbor and i 30 mins to assemble. I also have the multigrip pull up bar. shipping to north carolina was lightning fast. ordered it on a monday, received one part wednesday, the other boxes on thursday. if your unsure about buying it just do it! only gave it 4 stars because i thought the chrome spotter pins came with the pipes. no biggie.
I purchased the shorter version of this power rack used. It had been sitting outside for some time in Texas weather when I got it, but the finish held up well and had only a very few signs of rust. So, I know it will hold up very well if you keep it indoors or in your garage even in a humid climate. I assembled this rack by myself in about 45 minutes with little effort.
Having used this now for several months I find this to be a well constructed piece of equipment that I know will last a long time.
While the pull up bar is acceptable I highly recommend getting the Multi-Grip Pull Up Bar which will provide you with some nice variations in your pull ups and get you higher off the floor. Also, an extra set of J-Hooks always come in handy when moving your bar around in the rack.

Did 30+ days of research before deciding that the T2 was the absolute best value for the money. It shipped quickly and came well packaged. It was missing 8 washers but I also ordered the 10" extention which luckily came with extra washers so it balanced out fine. Was easy to put together even with the minimal instruction that it comes with, my only advice would be when you're connecting the uprights at the top to wait to tighten until you have all the pieces up. The only real difference between the T2 and T3 besides of course the 2" or 3" post is the hole spacing but I found the T2 hole spacing more than adequate just a note
This rack is great, I have it on rubber mats in my garage and it doesnt move at all. The finish isn't the best and the steel seemed to have a bit of rust on the inside. But it has held up great over the past 2 years.
This rack does everything I need it to do. I'm a beginning lifter and I've been motivated by books by Mark Rippetoe and the book Bigger, Leaner, Stronger. After familiarizing myself with those programs I determined I needed a good beginner rack. This one kills it on the price level. Some of the racks I was looking at were thousands of dollars. This felt like a steal at $300. I was worried about the quality and safety, but after assembling it I can tell you I feel totally safe working with this. It's strong, sturdy and doesn't wobble. Be sure to read the directions when putting it together, if you tighten the bolts as you put them in it won't work quite right, just put the bolts in, leave them loose then tighten them all when it's together.
Two issues I have:
1. I bought it for about $319 online, which was a great deal, but a few days later it was listed at $286. It's sort of my fault for not waiting to see if it went down in price, but if you're looking at this rack just know it may go up and down in price at different times.
2. I felt like it was missing washers when it arrived. There weren't enough washers for all the bolts, and the instructions didn't clearly explain which bolts needed washers. to be on the safe side I bought a few extra washers for about $2 and used them so that all the bolts had washers.
I've been powerlifting on and off for the last 20 years. I have had 3 different home gyms and I keep coming back to this basic style rack cuz I'm use to it and I like it alot! I've used this for multiple workouts so far and I am thoroughly impressed. It has multiple attachments (which I did get most of them) to make this piece of equipment very versatile. Yay me! I also got the 10" extension which makes this rack pretty solid. I'd bet it can hold more than the 700lbs I'm not gonna push it (if I ever get there I'll work on reps. It's perfect for a beginner or a veteran.
great !!! only issue I have is it's a little cramped inside cage IF you put a weight holder on the rear up rights. (i.e when doing squats the weight on your squat bar can make contact with the weights on the holder) I'm fixing by ordering the t2 10" extended thus placing the weight holders 10" further back and out of the way. But real sturdy product
Got my rack in 3 days. Everything went together quickly and easily. Also got a 7' bar and the 260 lb bumper plates. Everything came exactly as ordered and is real solid.
Get the upgraded pull up bar too. Makes it even more awesome.
Rack is great. Was actually surprised at the quality. I was expecting something cheaper to be honest. Stop looking for another rack. You found it. Shipped fast. Took 2 people to set up. The upper steel bars someone needs to hold while someone else screws them in. I notice some people say it wobbles. I don't know how you tight you fastened those bolts. But this is one solid rack. Mine only moves when I put the weight on the cups, from a squat. That's without weights holding down the rack. It's perfect.
Everything looks great! It arrived quickly and was undamaged. The rack bolted together easily...no misaligned holes or bent pieces. This was a purchase for my son and he's very happy with it. I'll definitely be back for other gear.
I bought this to start lifting in my garage. Really solid piece but not 100%
-It does absolutely everything that is advertised. I use it up to about 300lbs and it has not missed a beat.
-Price is amazing - best quality for the price I have seen and I checked everywhere. Half racks and flimsy racks are everywhere, this one is solid and cost effective.
-Easy construction - there are a couple spots where it behooves you to have an extra hand but the instructions are clear and easy to follow.
-Machining is not perfect my end caps did not fit in which is kind of just meh. Not a real problem.
-One of my safety cross bars had a bend in the U part that locks against the frame. I fixed it pretty easily by tapping it lightly with a hammer a few times.
-The plastic bags that the long bars came in had a big dusty foot print on it. Not really a problem but with the other two things kind of left me feeling like these things are stored in a place that is more careless than it should be before / during shipping.
-Paint flakes off pretty easily when you start throwing the bar around. ( I have not yet met a rack that does not have this problem though. )
Note* When you are putting your rack together get all your bolts on then tighten them down. A lot of previous posters have talked about things not lining up and this could solve some of those issues.
Overall great for the money. Feels sturdy. A couple 35 lbs on the back and virtually no wobble. Feels good racking the weights, can rack pull off the safeties. Only thing is when you change the safeties the metal on metal can make a terrible scratching noise. Otherwise works like a charm. I attached a pulley system to the top as well.
Great cage at a great price. Went together in less than an hour by my self. Workouts have
been done with more drive now as I have no spotter, but I have confidence in the structure and craftmansship of this cage. Will buy from Titan again.
I've had this rack for over a year now. It has gotten regular use since it was bought.
It is rudimentary, and a little rough around the edges, but does exactly what it's supposed to do, keep you safe during barbell exercises.
I lift for aesthetics and well being, I have no intention of ever squatting 700 lbs in this rack, and I have failed flat bench press reps multiple times in this rack safely.
When I bought it, it was slightly cheaper than it is now, but it is still worth every penny at just over $300, you won't find one of equal quality in that range new in the box.
If you are on a budget, or just aren't into powerlifting and want to outfit your garage or fitness room with a rack, this one works great.
Mine had a slight wobble to it when doing pullups, I used two short ratchet straps running diagonally to my floor joists and 4 concrete anchors to fasten it to my floor, it's rock solid now, and the only reason I did it is because the wobbling was just slightly annoying to my OCD, it was in no way unsafe because of it.
This cage is a tank. Setup was pretty straightforward and got it up in 25 minutes with 2 toddlers running around. No plates on plate holders I started doing pull-ups and there was absolutely no side to side or forward and back movement on the rig. Sturdy and solid. Welds could be better but if you're interested in clean welds and laser cut holes, you're focused on the wrong things. (Go buy Rogue and enjoy the double plus cash you have to dish out). Don't be fooled by the pictures of the arm supports! These things are solid throughout! I have 100% confidence in this thing! It'll only get sturdier once I put down some plates. Make sure not to tighten bolts until the very end.
Great rack. I had 2 minor issues with mine. First, one of the J hooks was bent. I emailed customer service, and they shipped me a new pair the next day, which was awesome. Second, I think the pull up bar could be better. The knurling on it is extremely passive, which I'm not a big fan of. I'd prefer to see it be more aggressive like on a barbell.
Shipped rather quick for large packages.
Assembly was a breeze. It was missing a hex bolt, I'm sure a million of these were sold on black Friday and whoever was counting them out lost count a few times, no biggie since it's a pretty common size bolt.
I may pickup washers while at the hardware store picking up the missing bolt.
Overall it's a perfect, wallet friendly rack for the garage, just don't expect a top of the line product.
-This is a good rack for the money.
-Assembly is simple and straightforward-unpackaging and tightening nuts are the most time consuming parts. Another reviewers recommendation to add washers is a good idea, as there is some flex when you snug the bolts down.
-Overall quality is mediocre. Crappy coating, sloppy welds, lock on one of the safety arms not squared up, J hooks look horrible. Not unexpected at this price point, and doesn't detract from the rack's functionality, but beware of all these 5 star quality ratings building unrealistic expectations of an inexpensive product.
Everything fits and works as it should(all that really matters, IMO), but if you're concerned about aesthetics be prepared to spend a lot more money.
-Nothing to do with the rack itself, but A+/5 stars to Titan for very fast shipping, and FedEx for delivery.
The packaging was destroyed upon arrival, and I feared for the worse, but was pleasantly surprised everything was ok. Ordered it on Monday, and it made it to Naples, Fl by Wednesday. With a 18mm combo wrench and a 18mm socket on an impact drill, my 12 year old son and I had this together in 30 mins. Be careful not to tighten nuts too tight, if using impact gun, because the metal on the opposite side will bend. I did a lot of research before I bought this, and this definitely was a great choice for the budget I had, and being that I am a beginner. I definitely would recommend this product.
I am 6'4" and 270lbs, and as soon as it was built, I jumped up and did a chin up. No weights on this rack at the time, and it was very stable. I was impressed.
I also would like to mention that I had a question, when I was ordering it, and I called their customer service. A wonderful woman answered (sorry I forgot her name), and she answered all my questions, as well as made sure I got the best price. I ended up ordering it right through her. Giant bonus for great customer service, in an age where it is usually awful, when you have to call a company about something you need help with. This reassured me that I was making a good choice by choosing the T2, and purchasing through Titan.
Great Rack! Totally fills the gap of not being able to make it to a gym.
For the price this is 5 stars all the way.
The setup was easy and like others mentioned just make sure the nut with the integrated washer goes on the frame side not the thicker steel support side.
Bought t2 and dip bars, arrived on schedule and complete. Easy to assemble (I'm 71 yo and wife weighs 95 lbs) had no problems and was up and running within an hour after unpacking. Use it with 1" weights on 7' bar and works great ( no need to upgrade to 2" Olympic weights).
This rack marks the next step in my fitness & I love it. I completed 12 weeks of Stronglifts on my bench with tabs welded to the other side for squats & OHP so this is a considerable upgrade for me out of the gate.
Nevertheless, I have a mechanical background & its just solid. Pull ups, dip bars are my favorite part right now. I throw a bucket swing on the pull up bar for my daughter when Im not working out.
If I had to give advice on building it would be just go very light when tightening top arm bolts to frame, you will see the metal start flexing/caving in even if it wants to tighten more, dont do it..but thats just nitpicking. Can not complain about functionality one bit.
Safety bars are chunky & very heavy duty, holes slide nicely & I crazy glued some thick rubber into the j hooks which has worked great to protect my bars.
Very happy & a great investment. Titan was awesome to deal with..im a customer for life.
This rack is perfect for the price. The quality is good and it was delivered with in a couple of days. I do not like waiting for stations at the gym, so to be able to go down to my basement and do what I need to do with in an hour is great.
Can't ask for anything better. Perfect for a garage gym. f you are going to be doing exercises from the top of the rack with lots of sudden movements add some weight to keep it from moving but other than that very sturdy rack. Very happy with my purchase.
For the price, works as expected. I can do the exercises I need to do and don't have to worry about killing myself dropping weight on my chest.
Fedex delivery was reasonable, took about 5 business days.
I read comments that quality could be better, but for this price, its gives most Folks an opportunity for a safe garage gym without going broke.
I have to say I am very pleased and impressed with this rack. Assembly was a breeze with a couple of sockets!! It has a small footprint but still is plenty big for me and sturdy!! I am 6'4" and 325 and had no problem walking into it and hanging from it. Packaging was very good as well and fast delivery. I also bought the padded j hooks and plate holders, was able to use a 15% coupon so I got everything for right around $310 which is amazing. Holds my barbell and weights really well, have already tried it out for squats and bench!! This was a perfect selection for my new home gym!!
This gym I cannot say enough to great things about. Easy to put together, took an hour for me and the spouse. We do everything on this, flats d incline chest, squats and pull ups. We hooked up a pulley to the back for face pulls and such. Hook the bamds around it for banded dead lifts and my monster band fits perfectly at the bottom for banded hip thrusts. Don't think about it, just buy it or you're missing out!
Easy assembly w/ one person help and incredibly sturdy, overall exactly what I wanted
This cage, like the other ones I have in our gym, is solid.... with great price....and of course their signature NO SHIPPING COST is awesome.
The only fault I have with the T2 is there is no mounting holes through the base like the T3. We have four T3 cages in our small neighborhood gym, but I bought a T2 for my personal gym in the garage. Just wish they made it able to mount to the floor.
I ordered my T2 directly from Titan Fitness through Ebay. I did not know you could order them directly from here. I ordered mines with the Dip bar attachments as well. I've squatted over 450lbs, rack pulled at least 405lbs on the spotter bars and benched over 315lbs. Everything held up great and never had a doubt the rack could take the punishment. I would recommend adding washers to the bolts upon assembly. The pull up bar is perfect! I recommend purchasing the j-hooks with the hard plastic pads to help prevent damaging the knurling to the bar. I noticed the metal to metal contact started smoothing out the knurling. Other than that it is a great rack and perfect for any home gym. I highly recommend this rack if you are looking for something to lift on and at an affordable price! Keep up the great work Titan Fitness!
I was deciding what rack to go with the standard or the basement model. Went with the standard and am very happy I did . I do lift in my basement and the standard model is 83" but my basement is not finished and read that the chin up bar was 80" so I installed the rack with the high sides between my rafters and the shorter front and back is just under the rafters. Me being 6'5" I can walk into the rack without ducking it looks like it was custom made for this spot . Also with the high sides of the rack being above my rafters I secured the rack to one of the rafters and made it even more rock solid . Luv this rack great job Titan .
After searching for a long time and reading many reviews, I decided on this T-2 rack from Titan. I couldn't wait to get it and set it up. The instructions are good, but helpful hint; Don't over tighten the bolts, place a barbell on the rack and have the rack set for a bit. Make sure it is solid and square. Then go around and tighten the bolts making sure it is still flat after each one. Also, on mine the pull up bar worked better in the top position attached to the two cross beams as shown rather than a little lower on the front two beams.
Once I got mine together I was very impressed with the quality and look. The rack looks like a $1,000 rack for less than a quarter of the price. The material is heavy and solid. The safety rails are very durable and not flimsy at all. It has so many hole placement settings that you will have no issues finding the exact height for any movement. And I squatted with 330lbs on it already and it barely moved when racking.
This rack is a must have for anyone looking for one!
Easy to assemble and perfect for use w/ Titan suspension training system.
All these people complaining it wobbles...lmao. Try bolting it down like it was designed for. That what them little holes are for on the base feet. DUH!
Anyways....this is by far the best quality for the money. Very stable and easy to put together. We purchased 4 for our gym and haven't had a complaint yet. And we have powerlifters using the equipment as well. Meaning it's not just meant for light weight but can handle big boy weight as well. 700lbs is usually doable for most lifters. If not, check out the T3.
About to order one for myself in the garage.
A+++++. Love this product!!!!!!
Short and sweet version: I ordered Friday, it shipped Monday, was on my front porch Wednesday morning. Packaging was fine. Quality of product is more than substantial. Will definitely recommend.
Longer version: I'm just a casual lifter who lifts 4 days a week and don't always want to hit the gym. That said, I looked at quite a few racks for the garage before the purchase, and was fine with just getting a cheap squat rack. The deciding factor was when I saw the quality in person. Cheap, thin, wobbly...junk. So I paid the extra $100 and went with the T-2, and I have a feeling this will last as long as I want it to.
The rack doesn't wobble under cheap gym floor mats, it's beyond solid enough to withstand anything I could do to it, and any faults I could find were cosmetic (and even those can't be found by anyone who didn't put it together). I may be a casual lifter but I couldn't care less about cosmetics anyways...I'm there to throw weight around for a bit then be done. I put it together myself in less than an hour, and my wife and I carried it to where it was going to stay.
The Rogue racks might be thicker and heavier, but unless this rack is going into a high traffic gym, you'll never wear it out. Get it.
Satisfied with the product will probably order more products in future.
Doing starting strength and wanted a basement gym setup, rack went together easy, tolerances for holes are fine, and the welds look like any other I've seen.
The FedEx guy will probably never come to my house again though :)
Received exactly what I expected, cost effective solid construction. Would recommend this rack to anyone looking to pick one up and on a budget.
Bought this rack and was hoping for a great quality but wobbles so much it's annoying , when I tighten the pull up bar on it makes the whole thing outa rack and unstable, doing pull-ups the thing sounds like it's gonna fall apart. For the most part it's built good . Seams like the j hooks were built in a garage which I was surprised other than that if your not liking for much this wil work for you, who knows maybe yours wil be more stable than mine . Good luck!
Excellent all around rack. It does everything a rack should do. Hole placement is great. Paint is OK, but I didn't care because it's a rack and gets banged around anyway. easy to assemble. Looks good. Highly recommended.
Very easy to set up and so far seems pretty solid. I think it is going to work great for a home use rack.
What's up with all these" this is an amazing rack" 5 star reviews ??? maybe I got a defective rack....Wobbles from left front to back right. Not level. Also a lot of side to side movement which doesn't really matter but he wobble from front to back is pretty much bullshit. rack did not ship on time as advertised. Gave me an excuse of implementing a new shipping system. . If i could do it over I probably would not have purchased this rack. Maybe the T3 is better. It serves it's purpose though. It's a cheap rack but that's what I expected it to be so complaining now isn't really necessary. I'm stuck with it for now.
The power rack is exactly what I was looking for. Easy to assemble, easy to use, and makes me feel much safer than using squat stands.
The rack is very sturdy and easily assembled. One improvement would be to number the holes to make leveling your safety bars easier.
Good quality rack. Just like the racks I've used at the gyms. Very solid and very sturdy. Perfect fit in my basement with 8 foot ceilings.
Fast shipping and easy to put together (maybe 30-45 minutes total). So far it held 400+ lbs. without a problem. For the price, you can't beat it.
Excellent product at an excellent price
I researched everywhere and the T2 is all you need. I follow the strong lifts program and every exercise can be done safely and effectively with a T2. This thing is rock solid and safe. So there's no point in looking elsewhere
Great quality, easy assembly (did it myself no problem in about a half hour, titan recommends a partner), and fast shipping. Not sure it could get much better for the price, a great piece for any home gym. Highly recommend.
You can't get a better rack for the money. It may not be the absolute cheapest rack out there, but once you factor in the cost of shipping, this one can't be beat. Some places want over $150 for shipping. Why pay that when you can pay nothing?
I got this rack a week ago and I love it. Easy to assemble. Good quality. Has everything I want in a rack. Came at a reasonable price.
We had the Rack in hand in less than a week. Set up was a breeze and only took around an hour. Once bolted down this thing is solid. I recommend getting this one instead of the T-2 simply for the heavy duty construction. I've got some die hard rogue people that are envious of this set up not only is it badass it is way cheaper! If you haven't placed your order yet then get it done cause this thing is worth it.
The T-2 is well made and very easy to put together.
Rack came fast and complete (all parts). The rack itself will definitely do it's job and it's best for a home gym meant for a few people. My only issue is that it is a bit wobbly, not unstable, when performing pull-ups or dips. Part of it is due to design with low gauge steel and not mich bracing. However, I believe that in time the issue will resolve itself and the metal will form to where it's at, and there is no loss in function. Will it last forever? Probably not, but it'll do its job well until then and by the time it does need replacement I'll be ready for an upgrade. Good quality for the price and purpose.
I am extremely happy with this purchase. I would rate it 4.5 stars, but there is no option for that. The reason for not giving five stars is (1) I rarely give five stars since nothing is perfect and (2) there are two things I am not crazy about: the knurling on the pullup bar is not very 'knurly' and too smooth for a good grip and the grips on the dip attachments are too slick, again making for a less than ideal grip. Some tape will solve the problem. That being said, the rack is great. Its footprint is pretty small for the corner of the garage in which it is placed. There was more than a slight wobble, but that is due to my garage floor being uneven, which is not the manufacturer's fault. I shimmed it with a 2.5 lb plate for now and it does not wobble at all.
It is great for pullups, dips, bench presses, and other things. The rack is very sturdy. I'm 6'1" and 180 and it fits and holds me very well. My wife is much smaller than me, and I will not give her numbers because nineteen years of marriage have taught me a few things, but suffice it to say it fits her well, too. My teenage girls will use it, too, and it will serve their purposes well. The J-hooks are solid when plopping down a bar with weights on it and, while I have not had to employ the spotter bars in an emergency, they look solid enough to give me confidence that they will hold if I have to bail on a load of weight I cannot lift. I have not used the plate holders in the back, as the rack is too close to the wall for a plate.
It was surprisingly quick to assemble. My wife and I had it put together in about twenty minutes. The instructions could be a bit clearer with respect to which bolts to put where and what direction to place the cross bars, but the mistakes I made were easily corrected. The product was ordered on a Wednesday and received and put together on the following Friday.
After shopping around, I found that this was the best price, considering functionality, sturdiness, value, and customer ratings. I am very happy with it.
Easy to assemble and great for solo squats and benching.
For money, a great value. Had this a month or longer and no issues. The paint chips on j-hooks that I read about, not an issue. It's metal on metal contact... structurally I have no issues. I do chin ups and dips, no wobble with only 35 lb plates on back. I weigh 200 lbs. Already dumped bench and squats and rack did it's job. Quality rack for my level of lifting and usage. If I ever got really strong I might want something else, but I would never say the rack was a bad purchase. Desire would probably be just a need for a new toy if I ever lifted 400 plus lbs.
It's pretty standard with no bells and whistles, but very solid. I am 220lbs and can do pull ups on the bar with zero issues, very sturdy. I also sat on one of the spotter arms as a test, and it didn't even think about moving. If your looking for a cheap rack that's solid and will keep you safe, look no further. Put the plastic caps on the uprights before you tighten any bolts. The bolt tightening will deform the steel and cause the caps no to fit. No big deal though, it's at the top so cares about the caps anyway, it's just cosmetic..
This rack isn't anything super special, but it was cheap and it it solid! I weigh 220lbs and sat on one of the spotter arms with no movement. It is solid. If your looking for a cheap rack that's solid and will keep you safe, this is the one.
I got the T-2 rack about 2 years ago, it has been great. I use it 3 to 4 times a week and my kids in high school use it a lot as well. I can't complain about a thing. I also recommend getting a set of rings to go along with it.
Before purchasing all of the pieces for my home gym, I researched each component obsessively. This rack kept showing up in review after review, website after website. I almost didn't purchase it because I was worried that the quality would be lower since it is such a low price. I AM SO GLAD THAT I BOUGHT THIS RACK! Although it does not look or feel particularly heavy, the welds are excellent and this is a VERY stable rack, even without any weight on it. I weigh around 200lbs and can do pullups and kip-ups without the rack moving or rocking. I have racked and un-racked over 400lbs on both the J-hooks and safety bars and this rack feels rock solid. If you are looking for an entry level power rack with enough quality to keep, buy this.
Well built, sturdy and just solid only problem is that it looks like there is some rust on the inside.
I have to say I was kind of hesitant to purchase this rack but I ordered it from Amazon . I got it and assembled it but I had an issue with it not sitting level on my concrete floor. I contacted Titan and Ray recommend I alternate tighting the bolts and it helped but i still kept kept getting one side of the rack sitting un-even on my floor. I contacted Ray again and I explained my problem. He sent me a new pull up bar and that took care of my problem. Excellent service is what Titan is all about. Buy this rack! It does the job. Nothing fancy about it. Highly recommend it!
Arrived early. Packaged well. Went up easy, don't know why some guys complained about needing washers or tubes crushed???
Looks nice, tried out dip bars with no weight on back and it was sturdy. I'm 200 plus lbs. J hooks and pins slid easy. I'll update or do another review in one month after some use.
Awesome rack. Can't beat it for the price, not many people are going to load over 700lbs on a rack.
very sturdy and versatile ... Can do full body compound barbell movements .. Squats pull-ups bench ... Benched 275 on it no problem. Excellent height for a 5'11 doing pull-ups
Great rack for an affordable price. Installation was a breeze even though there weren't any paper instructions. I just viewed Titan PDF instructions on my phone and it took me about an hour to do by myself. Quality product that is used for home training and i haven't seen or had any problems yet.
So far it is great (only had it 3 days). Easy set up as I did it myself in about 1/2 hour. The only thing I wish is that it came with washers for the bolts as I did over tighten a few of the bolts before I realized I was bending the metal. Other than that I highly recommend.
For this price, you'll never find a better rack. You can barely find a used one on Craigslist for this price. It's great! Totally happy customer!
I'm loving everything about this rack. I ordered it on a Thursday, it was delivered the next day and I was able to assemble it in about an hour and a half by myself (I'm a 5'2 woman). This bad boy is solid & sturdy, easy to assemble and Titan customer service is awesome! I would definitely recommend this rack. I couldn't be happier and am ready to take my "big 3" heavy lifts to the next level =D
It was a challenge, but I put this together by myself in a couple of hours on a Saturday. I m not very handy, it was the first time I'd ever used a wrench. But I figured it out. The most difficult part was getting the back cross bar on, it'd be easier with more hands, but it was doable.
I'm very impressed. This thing is very sturdy. I have my 45s on the holder in the back to weigh it down. I figure once I progress enough to actually use those I'll look into getting a sand bag or two for that purpose.
It's not pretty, the finish is rough, but it doesn't need to be. I feel secure lifting alone in it. I'm barely past using the empty bar right now, but I expect this rack to last me a good, long while.
I just got my power rack and fully assembled it with the help of my (very tall) friend haha. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. The rack looks great, easy to assemble, slight wobble but no big deal to me at all, and feels very sturdy.
However, one thing I found from my shipment was that one of my two safety bars does not fit properly around the standing post. I don't mean the holes it goes through, those are fine, it slides in and out with ease. I am talking about the part that is supposed to wrap around the post to lock it in place so it doesn't move back and forward seems to be too small. Again, it is only one of the two safety bars that has this issue. And it is by no means deal-breaking, i'm positive it will still get the job done. Just slightly worried that there is a very small chance that it could slide out of place when I need it most. With that being said, it is a steal for the price and quality. I would still recommend this rack for anyone looking to build a home gym on a budget!
First off, this is an amazing price. It doesn't include tax or shipping! Surprisingly the rack came in four days which is much faster than I expected. As for assembly, the instructions were kind of confusing because it doesn't tell you what tools to use. I used a wrench and socket wrench and assembly was done in under a hour. The pull up bar is great and is very sturdy.
You can't go better for the price. Great quality and super fast shipping. It was a heavy box and nothing was damaged inside. I was able to assemble it by myself without an issue. Extremely happy with my purchase. I got the dip bars as well.
Great rack so far ....I'm pretty sure it won't be able to handle power lifters but for a beginner/budget power rack nothing beats the price nor the quality.
I'm not sure if I just received a bad rack, but I put it together, tightened the bolts extremely tight and placed it on rubber inside my garage and the whole set wobbles about an inch. I noticed when I was putting together the set that some pieces would not fit together perfectly. I would return it and get a new one but the amount of work that went into putting it together is not worth it.
Perfect product! Bought it for my garage. Very sturdy and we put it together in no time. Yes the directions were lacking a little, but we figured it out easily enough. We also received an email from Titan as an apology for their directions being not so good. And I hadn't emailed them. So I'm sure they are working on it. No reason to deter people from using this. I will order more from this company.
Cheapest rack I could find but not disappointed in the quality. Have had it for 2wks or so and done multiple workouts with it. Dip bars add on is great as well, no complaints. Would purchase all over again.
I've been searching for a power rack for 3 to 4 months. Trying to decide between a couple different options and even whether I wanted a full cage, or partial. I ended up going with the Titan because the cost was great, the construction looked solid and it was everything I needed to do squats, bench and presses easily at home. With this and an Olympic bar and some weights you have everything you need and can pretty much get it all for under $500.
I was not disappointed. Shipping was prompt, packaging was excellent, quality of the materials and construction was on point. Took me under an hour to completely setup. It recommends two people, it's do-able with one. Had a small question for customer service and they emailed me back with an answer in 20 minutes.
You won't be disappointed.
I am somebody that values my money, so I did A LOT of researching of several different power racks before settling on this one. I have been using it 3x a week for one month now and I have nothing but great things to say about it. It is not of commercial quality, but it doesn't need to be for the average home or garage gym. I haven't put a large amount of weight on it yet, but I have no doubts that it will hold whatever I put on it and last a long time.
I would highly recommend either weighing it down or securing it so it doesn't move. Rather than wasting some 45 lb plates to put on it, I just picked up a couple of sand bags (the kind that go in the back of a pick up in the winter time) and those hold it down just fine.
The rack is wide, fits a standard 7' bar, has enough holes to adjust the height to whatever you want. Only downfall is that the pullup bar isn't high enough for me, but I'm 6'5" 240 lbs, so realistically I'm not going to find a pullup bar that allows me to not touch the ground for a home rack.
The instructions weren't clear enough so it took me awhile to put it together and it says 2 people to assemble but I did it by myself. This is perfect for doing strong lifts 5x5 and it is well sturdy enough to do pulls ups. If you want it to be really sturdy then you can put weights on it like I did on the bottom rear of the power rack
Doing Stronglifts 5x5 and this rack is PERFECT for it. I love this rack, the material quality is excellent. I love that all of the hex bolts used the same (18mm) driver. Shipping was really fast (ordered Tuesday, received Thursday).
One thing needs improvement, is the directions. The images were terrible and the written directions had some typos and some confusion. Some items were missing from the checklist. Other than this, I made one mistake putting the pullup bar in, it was not 100% clear in the directions to me. Also I over tightened some of the bolts and it made indentions on the sides. I'd mention this in the directions as well (not to over tighten). Took me about an hour with 1 little helper for the upper cross support bar.
I'm just seeing the reviews and just ordered
Not much more to add from what others have said. I'm so happy with this rack and the coustomer service that I just bought a set of lock collars too. Both things that I've ordered from them were package very well and delivery of the items was very fast.
Yep well it kinda sucks, I'm really just typing this to see if they actually post this review or just let highly rated reviews show up.
I use it to do squats, dead lifts, and bench press. It was easy to assemble and handles the weighted bar with ease. I did have to buy a new longer bar. The new seven foot bar works fine. The pull-up bar handles my 145 lb body. I have 1 inch plates and bar; therefore, the 2 inch plate holders serve no purpose yet. Since I'm a 5'6" 145 lb 72 yr old, the rack will not be tested to it's limits. The rack is just resting on the floor and is not held down or weighted. So far, it works for me.
I'm not one to go back online and review products but this time I had to. I've had this rack for about 7 months now, it's holding up perfectly. I like everything about it. It's easy to assemble, affordable, quality is great and the weight limit is fantastic. This is a hidden gem.
Shipping was prompt, build quality is excellent. Everything solid and heavy duty.
Assembly was straightforward. If you have two people, it will help to have two 19mm socket wrenches so you can both tighten bolts at the same time.
Our garage floor is a bit uneven so we had to shim a corner. This caused some mismatch on the steel tubes, but we were able to enlarge the holes very slightly (less than 1 mm) with a dremel for a perfect fit.
The unit works well, and my son likes it much better than the Smith machine at the gym.
Super easy to assemble. Way better than having to go to a public gym.
I've been nothing but impressed with the Titan Power Rack. I looked at getting the HD, but for the money the entry level option seems perfect for almost anyone. The welds are cosmetically rough in some places, but structurally tight, I've bailed out of 400lb + squats on the safeties with no issues at all.
If you are a no nonsense lifter concerned with function, this is the rack to get. There's nothing even vaguely close to it out there in the price range.
The title says it all...this is a great quality rack for an excellent price. I felt it was time to get back to working out after gradually slacking off over the last few years and needed a rack for my home gym. After searching and reading hundreds of reviews, I came across this rack. I bit the bullet and bought it...I'm so glad that I did. I put it together by myself (5'7" female) in just over an hour and have been using it ever since.
I read many reviews of every rack out there before buying this one. I read some bad reviews, some good so I was skeptical but it came in at such a good price I thought it was worth the risk. As soon as I owned the box I knew it was a quality rack. Solid steel, solid hardware. Everything went together easily. Honestly not one complaint. Arrived in 2 days. I wish Titan made a FID Bench to go with it.
very tough for the money i used to work in a machine shop and i can tell you that you could barely build your own with equally good materials and craft for this price!
Customer service was amazing. All around great experience. The rack is extremely sturdy I read a lot of reviews and the few that called it a beginner rack are full of it. I think they're really just mad they spent 3X on the one they have.
Well I just got my rack yesterday. I ordered an extra set of j hooks so I wouldnt have to mark the holes and switch when doing squats and bench work. After buying squat stands and just not feeling like I could go all out even after adding saw houses I did my homework and ended up picking these. I must say everything I read for the most part in reviews has been true. Starting with the best value is buying directly from titan. Very fast shipping and cheaper. Solid piece of equipment. I will say although I have about 600 pounds in plates I dont use anywhere near that much at one time so im not sure how this would hold up to racking that kind of weight but 300 to 400 im can say is no problem for this unit. The paint is not like my car but its a rack for weights so im ok with it. It took me longer to unpack it and make sure I had all the parts whick I did then it to to put together by myself. I think a second set of hands is unnecessary but thats might be because I rehab houses . There is a little rust on the inside of the upright poles and yes FedEx beat up my boxes but its hard to damage steel. I really think this is a great valve for the 300 bucks and unless I went up past 500 pounds I think its going to work great
I've had this rack for just about 1 year now and love it. The rack is really durable and good at a good price.
You can't beat the price of this power rack. Titan has some of the best customer service around hands down as well. I would easily feel comfortable putting its maximum weight capacity on this, though I will never reach such a point. I just wish the dip bars wasn't on backorder and can't wait for them to be back in stock! I will probably also get a second pair of J-hooks so I can add them to the front so I don't have to swap them for military presses.
The products and customer service is second to none!
Awesome, easy to put together and well worth the price cant beat it
Wanted to update my review from July 2014 with my experience with the rack. In short, it was an excellent purchase that I use 4-5 times a week. As far as weight, I have done squats up to 380 and rows (from the safety bars) in the mid 300s without any issues. I failed a 350lb squat and dumped the bar from a few feet above the safeties. Everything (including my spine) was fine, and the safeties are still straight and undamaged.
One thing that I did, that I would highly recommend, is anchoring the rack either to the ground or to the ceiling. I have it in the basement, so I was able to buy some thick angle iron (the kind with predrilled holes) that worked perfect between the top beams (closest to the pullup bar) and a rafter. This completely removed the slight kickup the front would do when I slammed home a squat. It also removed any side-to-side sway. It wasn't bad before I did this, but now it is really sturdy, and it performs like a much heavier rack.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with the rack. I recently ordered dip bars, because I was getting tired of my rigged solution (2x4s across the safeties.) I hope they're as nice as this rack.
just got my Titan rack from fed ex today, fast shipping. Great rack very strong well built and sturdy, can't beat the price either would recommend this to anyone.
purchased this to replace a smith machine i had. researched for a while i which rack to get, settled on this one and not disappointing at all. Shipping was fast, customer service top notch. the rack itself was easy to assemble took about an hour and a half by myself (4 year old and dog helping) the quality it great very sturdy, havnt stacked it with anything over 300 yet but so far so good. i would recommend it for sure!
I have been using my rack for over 6 months, practically every day doing strength training (press, deadlifts, squats etc). So far, it has held up great! It's very solid, I feel completely comfortable in it performing squats in the 4's with the safety bars up. It was easy to put up with just myself, which took about 30 minutes. Also, the price is the best around for this kind of quality and strength!
Just came in to add this review and I see it is backordered so I am pleased to have had it delivered this morning. Very fast. Ordered Weds, here on Friday. What a country.
Simple construction, handled easily by myself. Looking forward to slamming some weight around this evening. Glad I found the product suggestion on stronglifts.
I'll be back for the dip bars soon.
Before buying this power rack I had done extensive research on three other brands… the powerline, atlas, and tds. What got me sold on this one was the price and options. Unlike the others (powerline and atlas) you get 2inch spacers in between. Also unlike TDS you get 100% satisfaction guaranteed without sending the whole unit back if some part is defective at your own expense. Customer service is #1 with titan they will take care of you if something is wrong with your rack. I couldn’t be any happier with my purchase. It’s sturdy and can handle up to 700lbs of weight with no problem. Doesn’t crack or make noises when you load it up. It’s black in color and goes great with my black Rogue bar and bumper plates. For the low price you cannot find any better. There is enough room for any bench seat you prefer and plenty of space to do your squats and bench press in. The chin up bar is great too I added foam to mine for wide grip pull-ups. Also if you feel like you must bolt this down a simple fix is going to home depot and buying hooks so you can bolt it down to the floor… but no need because it will not go anywhere. I have it inside my room and installation was a breeze, I did the installation myself. I expect to torture this rack and yet be able to use it for years to come. Great investment! This is from a guy who is used to Rogue fitness stuff. Thanks Titan!
There is not much else I can say that the other reviewers have not already said. I researched for months, and if you have looked for power racks at all, you know there are hundreds to look through. I kept coming back to this one for the simplicity of it, and the price. This is not to say it is a cheap product, far from it. It is as sturdy as they come. Bottom line is, if you in the market for a power rack, put this one on your list and do the comparisons, and I know you will choose this little gem of a power rack.
As others have mentioned this is sturdy and a great value (esp with free shipping). It's $10 less now then when I purchased it. Assembly was easy and can be done by one person. Look forward to additional hooks and dip assembly later.
Would buy again and recommend to a friend!
Ordered this rack after doing a few weeks of research. It's nicer than the Power line rack at around the same price or less. Overall, you can't beat this rack at this price point, and it will comfortably hold far more weight than most lifters will ever need (how many guys do you know squatting or benching more than 700lbs?)
Got here in 2 days (Philly area) I had an issue with one of the j hooks having an off center weld, but an email to customer service and a new one was shipped to me the next day.
Very happy with it. Saving money on this rack allows you to spend more on a bench and more 45s.
I had to call these guys to ask some specific questions, pretty much just to see their knowledge of the product and other specs. The dude I talked to on the phone and ordered from was pretty darn cool! He even gave me tips on which electives to take next semester and why to take them.
Good strong metal, stable, doing chin ups, bench presses even hanging upside down to get the blood flowing which I'm sure they wouldn't suggest but it's mine so whatever.
This thing aint cheap, it's inexpensive but aint cheap, that's for sure. Looking forward to see what else titan starts making as in fitness equipment so I can buy something else and get more tips for next semester's classes as well!
I ordered this rack and it arrived the next day. I am very happy with it. The holes are spaced out to allow for a variety of height adjustments. For the trainee who wants to squat, bench, press, and do chins this is a great rack. I expect to be using this for many years to come.
Bought this rack and it was shipped to me fast. Built it and unfortunately realized I was missing the j-hooks to hold the barbell in place, nonetheless their customer support quickly shipped them to me after I contacted them. Great rack and great service, would buy from them again and recommend it!
Delivery was swift, faster than the quoted estimate, and shipping was free. Assembly was simple and straight forward. I bolted all the parts together finger tight, aligned with the safety pins, then tightened all bolts down. Everything lined up perfectly and it works great!
I'm not very strong yet but have worked up to a 370 pound squat and 260 pound chin ups (195 body weight + 65 pounds) in this rack and it felt very sturdy. It's estimated to handle 700 pounds safely and I'm confident that's an underestimate.
There are certainly heavier and sturdier racks available but to purchase anything significantly better would cost about three times as much. If you've been yearning for a rack but have been put off by the cost, this is your solution. Buy one.
I have owned 3 power racks in my lifetime, two of which were given away to family members so having my own again was a must. To me, as long as I am not going to bench press or squat 1000 lbs any time soon, a rack with 2 x 2 inch tubing and 12-14 guage steel is more than sufficient. This one is exceptional all around, price cannot be beat, ANYWHERE, structurally it is as good as a $500 TDS rack I purchased 15 yrs ago which I considered bulletproof at the time. The rack is solid, and hadles 400-500 lbs on both upper rungs for squatting and middle rungs for benching with ease. The chrome spotter bars are superb, super strong and can hold trucks load of weight themselves as I have had over 400 lbs on them for half deadlifts. The rack does not move upon racking heavy loaded barbell weight while benching. Check out my video on Youtube for this rack in action with 400 lbs on the bench. There are enough attachments you can get for this to really have a sound and lasting power rack for many years to come without breaking the bank on buying a name brand pw. I would highly recommend saving the extra $ you save on this pw and purchasiing a super duty flat bench such as the Rogue bench which in my opinion is the perfect match for this pw, that is precisely what I did and it is awesome. In summary, do yourself a favor and buy this rack, assembly is a snap(even did it single handedly), the quality and strength is excellent and it will last you forever.

I been wanting a power rack/ cage for a while, but everyone online is always 399 to 599 plus shipping wich is ridiculous for any plain rack that just holds a barbell! For the weight capacity, with free shipping an price,it's unbeatable ,there def the leading company in power racks for sure an will be as long as they keep it this price cause they shouldn't be no more than that,an I wouldn't pay no more,it's definetly built to handle the weight limit an has weight trees on each rear corner to put plates on for keeping it in place also, the J hooks are sweet, there's only one pair but unless your too lazy to change in an out there's no reason for another set, went together within a half hour, one man job of you know fitness equipment but 2 is ideal,19mm wrench an 19mm socket or air gun, very self explanatory ,no need for directions, for some maybe.....but I will add that I did have a minor glitch with one of my bottom pieces of the rack, lil miscalculation in drilling from manufacturer....I called Titan an my calls an emails wer returned instantly an within hours the problem was resolved an a new piece was out the next day.....I recommend this company for sure, great customer service is what makes the world go round people happy
Got my rack in this week. Loved the pice, but reserved judgement on the quality of the rack until I used it myself. After using the rack, I can say it's great. First day I worked up to 415lbs on some close grip pin presses, and the rack didn't budge a bit. I weigh 257lbs, and had no issue with the rack shaking while I do pull-ups. Great rack for a home gym. I'm not claiming that this rack is equal to something like an Elite FTS 3x3, but I also didn't spend $900 on the rack like you would one of those. I'm a fairly strong guy, so I was concerned about buying a cheaper rack, not being sure if the rack would handle the loads. After hitting sets of rack pulls with 505lbs, I no longer have concerns about it's ability to handle those loads. Very satisfied with the power rack, and price is unbeatable.
I emailed Titan to ask about purchasing additional J Hooks for this rack as I wanted more than just one pair. My email was responded to in under an hour. Then I called to place my order over the phone as the J Hooks weren't listed on the website. My experience was very pleasant throughout the ordering process. When my power rack arrived, FedEx had manhandled it enough that one box split open and resulted in 11 bolts going missing. One call to Titan had replacement bolts immediately shipped to me, no questions, no fuss, no hassle.
The rack is very sturdy and will handle more than I will ever be able to throw at it. I was able to bolt it together easily. I love the fact that this rack is so plain and simple. So many of the little extras on other racks just get in the way (quite literally). I went to my local sporting goods store and was shocked at how flimsy their "pro" rack was especially since it was almost twice the cost of this one.
There are add on plate holders that can be purchased elsewhere. Too bad Titan doesn't offer them. I would buy from them in an instant if they did.
I was looking for a power rack that was rugged and not overly fancy. I got lucky and stumbled upon this product after countless days of searching. I'm pretty sure this product was only recently offered and I happened to find it before it sold out. I was skeptical since the price was the lowest I've ever seen for a product like this but when it arrived in the mail I was not disappointed. If I would've had two wrenches it would've only taken me 15 minutes to put together but nevertheless it was a very simple assembly. The product has a rough powder coat and the pull up bar has grooves etched into it for better grip. I'm 6'4" 245 lbs and it handled my weight very easily without any weight loaded on the cage, which is shocking considering most home gyms wobble significantly when I jump on them.
