I've been wanting a set of DB holders for a long time now but couldn't justify spending the money on them elsewhere. I'm glad I waited since Titan did their thing and made an awesome product that is also affordable. These have completely changed my workouts since I can do heavy presses now and wouldn't hesitate buying them again.
The holders fit the rack perfectly and are VERY sturdy. Welds are good and the UHMW is a nice touch (although a bit slick) to protect the paint on the dumbbells. The paint on the holders isn't the best but it's good enough.
Wow, these dumbbell holders are a solid, well made addition to my power rack. My dumbbell presses have gone to a whole new level. Decline presses are so much easier to set up. I can go heavier safely! Great product at a great price!!!
Finally someone is making power rack dumbbell holders for a reasonable price! Due to a back injury I really wanted something I could mount to my power rack so I didn't have to lift my dumbbells from the floor during various workouts. The only other two options I could find were at $189.99 and $285 (Google "power rack dumbbell tray"). Those might be good products but I wasn't willing to spend that much. So I built my own. Just my luck Titan started producing these as soon as I did. Mine were just modified power rack dip bars with angle iron bolted on. The Titian holder is far better than what I built.
These are a heavier gauge steel than I expected. Titan says they are rated for 200 pounds each. I weigh 250 and was able to suspend myself from one with no sign of it flexing. I'll never be able to lift enough weight to break these. The welds appear to be of good quality. I have an old school no name power rack (2" x 2" with 1" holes) and these fit great. My hex dumbbells and adjustable spin collar dumbbells both fit great on them. It is very easy to rack and unrack my dumbbells and there is plenty of space for my hands to grab the handles.
If I had to say something negative it would be the finish and plastic pads. The paint appears to be a textured flat black. It was chipped in some areas (probably during shipping) and it shows scratches from fingernails very well. The good news is I didn't buy them for looking pretty and it will match my other used equipment after a few workouts. The plastic pads are a little slick. I have a slight concern I might slip a dumbbell off during my workout. Worse case scenario I might remove the pads by simply unscrewing the hex screws.
I am very happy with my purchase. This is the second Titan purchase I made and both are heavy duty solid products for a great price. I have no doubt I will purchase more Titan products in the future.
