First off let me say I loooove me some Titan! From my T3 squat stand to my dip bars and strip to other this thats I have all of it quality and affordable. I'll definitely continue being a loyal customer. As far the linebacker attatchment I really like having this piece of equipment in my home gym. It offers different pressing, cleaning and squatting possibilities when I want to take a break from getting under the bar. However like some of the reviews mentioned its limited as far as how much weight can be loaded on, its a little tricky to get under if you want to do say squats or presses facing away from bar, and also I can see how the pads are set a little too wide for some. I do like this thing but it needs some adjustments.
I finally got the missing hardware to assemble this yesterday, 3 weeks and 2 days, after receiving an incomplete order(box was open when it arrived). I still don't have the bushings for the wishbone handles. I have to agree with the one reviewer...the pads are spread too far apart! I have broad shoulders and I have to go to the very front of this thing...and it still is too big, I would NOT recommend this to a narrow shoulders man or a woman! It is built for someone with Lee Haney's shoulders! Also, the fact that you are limited to 5 steel plates max is a problem, too! If Titan corrects these mistakes on a version 2 and has a price point around 200 hundred dollars, they will corner the market, as the competition's prices for these are obscene!
Have had my linebacker squat attachment for over a week, use it every day to compliment my other landmine exercises arsenal it’s a new product and it’s already gone up in price since I purchased mine last week. So far I’m happy with my purchase, let’s see if it stands up to regular usage and normal wear & tear.
I love this attachment! I've used this to do workouts like calf raises, squats and cleans. It's a great all around piece of equipment with a lot of uses! Its solid and the pads are comfortable. The only downside I have is getting it from the floor to my shoulders with a good amount of weight on it. I wouldn't mind if they came out with an adjustable stand for setting up squats! All in all, I love it and it was a great investment in the home gym.
A couple of things to point out.
While the idea of this accessory is brilliant, the execution fell a little short in a couple of areas.
I really wanted this thing to be on point but here we go.
As I read after purchasing the LBS attachment, some reviewers on social media were saying the pads are way too far apart and sadly, I have to agree.
(would be nice to have some sort of adjustable arms or just make the arms narrowerer.)
Another is the limited amount of weight you will be able to load your barbell with when the attachment is fully slid onto the bar. You're pretty much maxed out at plates.
(unless you're willing to slide the attachment out a bit but as I am concerned with the integrity of the accessory, I will not be doing so.)
One more thing worth mentioning, I noticed a little bit of flex in the entire mechanism during my lifts. (doing clean and presses - I can't really say where the flex was occuring because it was only my first time using it but I could definitely feel it at the top of the press and coming down to reset the clean. - this was with (2) 45's.)
On the upside though, I am stoked to try it out for leg day, specifically reverse squats because when turned around in the accessory, the width is not as noticeable.
All in all, great product - just needs a little more refinement.
Easy to assemble with the right tools. Works as expected and is a fantastic value. Titan comes through again!
