Figured I'd give this bar a try since it was such a good deal. Its actually my favorite bar! I bench and do overhead presses with this bar. I have a jacked up shoulder and I haven't had any issues like I would using a standard olympic barbell. Welds are a little sloppy but the function is flawless!
I read several reviews and many stated that the weldings were ugly. Or something like that. Just let’s me know people are buying it for the wrong reason. I’ve had this bar for a week and it’s awesome. Have done back rows, shoulder presses, and bench press with it. All feel good. Bar is solid. Good metal. All I care for. If you wanna rep big weights with a neutral grip, this is for you. If you want a pretty bar, go to Rogue and spend 3x the amount. Serious lifters should own this.
This is great, could do a full rep without any shoulder pain. Also used it for skull crushers and JM, front raise, uprights...no pain in the shoulder area on anything. Knurling could be a little more aggressive IMO, but it's not bad. Competition/Calibrated plates don't fit, but regular oly plates slide on. Don't care about the appearance, it was less than half the other competitors prices and it does the job. Shipped securely too, wrapped safely enough that it didn't arrive damaged. Quality items from Titan, thanks.
The welds on this bar may look like they were done by a blind person, and there does sound like there is a quarter pound of sand in the bar, but the price is right and it feels solid with weight on it. So if you want a shiny piece of art to add production value to your gym, buy a bar that costs 3x more, but if you want to save some money and get strong, look no further.
