Solid trays... but -- believe it or not -- a bit expensive.
Review by Erin on 22 May 2018review stating Solid trays... but -- believe it or not -- a bit expensive.
I bought two of these trays for use on my three-tier mass-storage rack.
These trays are very solid, but seem a bit expensive at $75 a piece... considering that each has to be paired with one of the standard (2-bar) shelves that comes with a Titan mass-storage rack. Believe me, it seems a bit weird to use the words "expensive" and "Titan" in the same sentence, as most of their gear is amazingly priced. These just seem a bit spendy for what they are.
While I do appreciate that the shelf places dumbbells at an angle, I do feel that the angle is a bit too steep. I wish it was tipped back just slightly. Also, while most of the time I'm not too critical of Titan's black paint, it does seem a bit fragile in this application. Unless your dumbbells are rubber-coated, they will scrape up the paint quickly unless you add supplemental protection. For my rack, I cut rectangles out of some spare 3/4" horse-stall mat to line the trays and the front lips. This works really well.

Good quality, easier to pick heavy dumbbells off of than other styles of DB racks.

I like this style of dumbbell rack a lot. Some types of dumbbell racks have angle iron by the handle that feels like if you miss you'll chop your finger off. Not this. Plus it puts the dumbbells in a more vertical position making it much easier to pick heavier dumbbells up. It'll only work with dumbbells with flat ends - the York Legacy style dumbbell wouldn't work for sure, and some pro-style dumbbells might be a little awkward if they have the little plates at the end. I'm considering putting some rubber on it so it's not so clangy and scratchy setting metal dumbbells on it (the powder coat is getting scratched up quick), but if you had polyurethane coated dumbbells or anything like that it wouldn't be an issue. It's very sturdy and a great value. I'd recommend it if your dumbbells are compatible, much safer than other styles of dumbbell rack.
