I have use it now for longer than 1 year without any problem, it still looks like a new one.
Nice quality and very sturdy
Have used this rack in my garage gym for over a year with daily use from 4 guys. this has handled everything weve thrown at it. Held up fine to 600+ lb weights on the j hooks and spotter arms. I would definetly recomend this to anyine looking for aa rack.
This is a great rack for any home gym. It has a small profile and the ability to cover all the core exercises. I also like the fact that it's relatively quick to put up and take down for future moves.
For the money it's the most reliable squat rack available. Had loads up to 450 pounds on the jhooks with another 270 on the plate holders to keep the rack stable. The rack has very little front to back sway. The side to side sway is a little more pronounced. When using the dip attachment I have very little sway. I own 2 sets of spotter arms and I have placed the second set on top to do reverse band work. The tolerances for the accessories are a little off. The pin that goes on the bottom of the spotter arms are snug due to the holes not being lined up precisely. This is the only reason I give it 4 stars for quality. Overall I am very happy with this purchase as I feel safe using heavier loads with this squat rack.
For a garage gym this thing is basically perfect. It's stable, easy to adjust for the different lifters in my family, cheap, and is low profile enough to fit in my cramped 1-car garage while still allowing me plenty of room to pull my truck in at night. I didn't install the plate racks because (as another reviewer already noted) it interferes with the placement of the optional safety arms for bench pressing. The finish scratches kind of easily but who cares--just consider it a nice "patina" that will continue to develop over time. Other than that, it's just a simple, well-built piece of equipment that has so far served me well in my training. Squat on.
Very impressed with with the design given the price.
I had to clean up the steel cut ends for proper fitment, but I didn't mind much given the price and quality otherwise.
Just purchased it and installed it in my garage on top of an Olympic lifting platform i built. Some observations:
It's a lot better than i thought it would be for the price point. I sold my power rack that i had for this stand. I looked around and it came down to the $330 price point of $600+. For paying ~$389 (with spotter arms) it was a great buy. I'm an avid lifter and wanted something strong and sturdy. I was worried about the steel bending when i put the bolts in but it held up. Overall, good quality. Yes, there were some minor scuffs for the black paint on the outside of the steel, but i'm not in the business of buying racks for their paint jobs. As long as it can hold up the weight that i put on it with failing, i'm very happy.
The only issue that i saw was some of their parts weren't the same size/angle. Their product is manufactured in China and in doing so, have some measurement variables. When a barbell is on the j hooks, it is straight, but the pull-up bar is a little slanted compared to the rack itself (if i were laying directly perpendicular on my bench and looked up, the pull-up bar is angled). Other than that, everything else looked great. Further, their j hooks aren't the best of quality (hard plastic coating the metal). But, i don't' exactly have an expensive barbell so i really don't care.
Overall, this was a solid purchase. Used it for the first time this morning. Spotter arms were able to hold 300 lbs doing rack pulls with no qualms. I'd recommend this product to anyone wanting to build a garage gym to do lifting with.
Solid rack, great price, and does what I needed it too! Easy to assemble and very solid...
Solid, heavy duty, and easy to assemble. I'm very happy that I purchased this rack. Not a big footprint, but it is a beast. I don't know why you would spend the money on the other guys racks, this one does the same thing at a fraction of the cost. I also purchased the safety racks and dip arms. Everything was what I was looking for. No issues at all and looks to be well built. Very sturdy, I swung all over this thing, not going anywhere.
I give this rack 4 stars because overall it is extremely solid. It feels very sturdy and barely moves at all when racking a weight or doing pullups. I think its a great value. The workmanship is decent for the price. I would give it 5 stars if not for one flaw:
The four included plate holders don't really work on this style rack, especially if you plan to use the rack to bench press or plan to set the safety pins low. I have two plate holders mounted in the lowest position and haven't had a problem yet, but there is really no place to mount the other two without them getting in the way in the bench press zone. I think it would be much more useful to add optional weight horns on the base of the rack or on a bar between the uprights and the base (running diagonally), as I have seen on other racks. Or a small plate storage attachment, almost like a mini-half rack.
I've gotten to know this rack over the last three months. I gave a neutral score for quality because the powder coating was spotty in places and it took some hammering to get one of the vertical beams into the base support. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with the rack. The bolts you use to put the thing together are massive, and when assembled the whole thing feels very sturdy. I don't doubt that Titan's rack will support 1000lb - it makes me feel confident and I can focus on my lift instead of worrying about whether the rack is going to fold. The J-hooks and spotter arms have both served admirably. The retainer holes for hooks and arms appear to be laser cut, which is a nice touch.
Great product. Small foot print, so space is not an issue. Very stable. Purchased the spotter arms as well. Just a great product for the money. Only complaint I have, wish the holes had some numbers for identification. Other than that, it's great.
I feel like I got a really good value compared to going though another retailer for very similar squat stands, but for almost 3 times the price!! The rack is sturdy! It can hold up my 215 lb body on the pull up bars and dip station ;D I've never used a rack or bench with Westside hole spacing and WOW! it feels like the rack's customized for me! :D I would buy it again if I had to, which I don't think I will since it will last me for a very long time. Highly recommend this company for all your gym needs!
The Titan T-3 Squat Stand is great! It is very stable and takes up very little space. It works well for squats, presses, pull-ups and bench press. 2x3
11 gauge steel holds 1000lbs.It came with 4 side plate storage pins 2 sets of j cups and spotter arms were 30% off when bought with the rack. West side hole spacing make dialing it in a breeze. The price makes getting everything you want very affordable and shipping was free. Mine arrived fast and in good condition. Customer service answered all my questions.
The product is excellent for the price you pay. Very sturdy, but with anything, there is always room for some slight improvements. My product was shipped in a timely manner and delivered in a timely manner. The product had some minor blemishes, but nothing that was structurally damaging. The improvements would be: to have an area to bolt the squat rack to the floor, have the vertical studs be a little taller to fully bolt down the pull bar and have an option for colored coating. Again these are all minor improvements to a great product.
This rack rivals any piece of commercial fitness equipment I've used in gyms across the United States. I can slam 315 against it without moving the rack an inch. I'd never dream of spending up to $600 on the competitor's racks (you know, the one that starts with a r- and ends with an -ogue.
I got this rack a couple weeks ago and wanted to use it a few times before writing my review. First off, the service was unbelievable. I couldn't believe how soon it was at my house.
This rack is sturdier than the power racks at a lot of commercial gyms I've been to. The steel is thick and doesn't budge when I rack and unrack weights. I've squatted up to 315 so far, and it hasn't budged. I didn't put the second set of weight holders on it toward the top because I was afraid of the plates on the bar contacting the weights on the storage pegs. This is only an issue for me because I'm 6'2".
The spotter arms are nice and long. The main reason I upgraded from regular squat stands is the lack of spotter arms. I train alone and need the spotter arms for safety. One issue to consider is the lowest height the spotter arms can go because of the storage pegs at the bottom. At the lowest setting, the spotter arms are exactly the right height for me. I'm a pretty big guy and bench with a small arch. Although not an issue for me, it may be a problem for others. It also depends on the height of your bench as well. I use a fitness gear adjustable bench from dicks.
The bench hole spacing is perfect. I've never used westside hole spacing before and can't believe how much I was missing out. When training alone, those minor height adjustments make all the difference.
Another huge benefit this rack offers is the small footprint without sacrificing stability. For someone who lifts in their garage and has a wife to worry about, this rack is perfect. It's small enough that it doesn't take up a lot of space and keeps the wife happy. For married lifters, that in itself makes it worth buying.
The last thing to touch on is the price. You can't overlook how low it is. Honestly I was skeptical of buying it because of the price. I figured that there is no way a high quality piece of equipment can be offered at this low of a price. I was glad to be proven wrong. There's no doubt the price will have to go up as word gets out about what a steal this rack is. If you're on the fence about this rack, go ahead and pull the trigger...you won't regret it
As soon as I saw Titan's HD Squat Rack, I sold my own rack and bought one of theirs. Heavy gauge, LONG spotter arms, HD J-cups(TWO pair!), the Westside hole pattern. I've worked out in my garage for the last 30 years-10 of those as a powerlifting competitor- doing a 600 lb Squat and Dead and 400 Bench without a spotter, and this rack will handle all the weight I throw at it with ease. When you're going for a max, the last thing you want is to have ANY doubts. Especially in your equipment. This rack would be worth it for double the current price. Hurry and get one before they figure it out.
quality product. I have recommend to fellow gym goers.
I just put this thing together. It is solid.
