Love this rack! Amazing value and great quality! The paint/powder coat is underwhelming but it is what it is. Bought this with a cross member and it's rock solid! Was able to get the rack, cross member, and a flat
Bench all for less than the cost of a used R6 rig.
Like others have said, you simply can't find any other rack as good for the price! The only downside is that the paint scratches and peels off easily, which sucks because FedEx just throws the boxes around so you WILL have some scratches. Overall this is THE PERFECT rack on the market and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to purchase a power rack
This rack offers excellent value to the purchaser, Titan must have made many changes to they're quality control, shipping and customer service , all three aspects I have personally experienced and have found to be be perfect. The rack had no extra stamped metal rattling, the welds were clean enough for me the coating seemed to be much stronger than paint , but to be fair not quite the level of rogue, this rack is almost $600 less than the Rogue equivalent. With that money you can buy more Titan gear or fancy specialty bars like I did. I have no intention bolting this to the ground as I am a "renter" I added the multigrip pull-up bar to this rack and I still find it has some shake, not wobble where a leg is coming off the ground but some shake with heavier weights. I have noticed zero buckling, the rack seems more than capable of managing this weight but there is some shake and some walking during heavy reps I intend to purchase the 24" extension as well as the stabilizer bar, then it should be more than stiff enough enough for my liking., I am an intermediate lifter 315lbs bench and 450lbs squat. 550lb rack pulls. The rack does come with 4 band pegs 2 safety spotter bars, inspite of the fact that they are not specified in the description.
So, you finally made it to Titan Fitness during your search for a rack. If your adventure has been anything like mine, you've probably checked out weightlifting/fitness forums, YouTube videos, the "shopping" section of your Google search, and still have no idea which rack you should buy. Like me, you have been to the Rogue site a few times and can't just seem to justify the price... don't. I've owned this rack for a year now and it's been perfect. With the money I saved from the spectacular price, I added an extra pair of J-hooks, spotter bars, and dip bars, still staying under the Rogue price. I'm around 250lbs and I get very little movement/sway when doing pull-ups or dips; I also added a pulley system and have zero problems. I routinely have 400+ lbs on the J-hooks and never an issue or failure. You won't be disappointed.
I have had the T-3 rack for a few months now, and used it with clients and friends. So it has gotten quite a bit of use overall.
Price: This rack comes in at a price point of $465. The comparable rogue rack is $960 which has a 43" space inside vs the 36". So at just under half the price without a coupon this rack is a complete steal, Titan Fitness runs coupons quite often. Also note that the shipping is free, which makes this rack more of a steal. I am opening a gym and have shopped around for squat racks a lot and you won't find a better rack for the price.
Quality: The overall quality of this rack is great. I have squatted over 405 lbs in the rack and had no questions about the rack holding. Titan Fitness has really fixed some overall issues they had in the beginning from the past reviews I have read.
The Rack: The rack itself is made of quality 12 gauge steel and is very sturdy. Someone said that they have looked inside the holes and the rack has rust on the inside. This is true, however I have rogue racks at my work and guess what? There is rust inside. This in no way will affect the product.
The Coating: The rack did come with some minor scraps and dings with some coating missing from the feet (which had cut a hole in the box and were sticking out upon arrival). I have Rogue products at home, while the coating on the Rogue Products does seem to be more durable, it does and will chip and come off over time. Go to any commercial gym and I can guarantee their racks have missing paint and chips. It is a squat rack, not a car.
The Holes: The holes on my rack all aligned and are laser cut with no sharp edges.
The Plastic: The plastic on the J- cups is high quality thick plastic with recessed screws.
Recommend: Overall I would recommend this rack to anyone. At less than half the price of Rogue and great quality overall, you are truly getting a great rack. This rack is nicer than most racks you will find in 24 hour or La Fitness by far. The westside spacing is super nice. I am incredibly happy with my purchase.
I'm very satisfied with this purchase and would buy this rack again......
No defects and easy assembly.....
This is my second review of this rack (the earlier more elaborate one disappeared so I'll be brief here.......
I am extremely impressed and satisfied with this rack. It is sturdy, looks great, and is basically everything I wanted and then some. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality and affordable power rack. I definitely will be ordering more from Titan soon (Sled/New Bar/Adjustable Bench)!
The squat rack is awesome once it is set up. The reason for 3 stars on qaulity is because it was laying in front of my garage when I got home with the boxes ripped open on the ends. It's as if they just threw it off the delivery truck and scratched it all up. Yes the packages are heavy but I didn't pay for something to arrive in what now looks like well used condition.
Obviously this is not a Rogue power rack, however I can buy 2-3 of these for the price of 1 Rogue rack. The best part the hardware and hole spacing accommodates Rogue Infinity accessories! I'm very satisfied with the product, bought this on Cyber Monday for $400 it backordered. However, even backorded delivery happened in less than 2 weeks. All packaging was in good shape, inspected all parts and hardware everything was perfect. Assembly took me 40mins by myself while watching a 4 month old baby and I'm also in a wheelchair. Unpacking the parts took longer than assembly. I highly recommend this for the money, it's a home gym so who cares if it's not all pretty and shiny and says Rogue. I have no doubts this will last me and my son a lifetime.
Shipping was very fast, I was not expecting to get it as quickly as I did. All the boxes were in good shape on arrival.
You get what you pay for, I'm torn on the 4 star for quality. There are a few nicks and dings, and yeah the welds aren't the best but it still does exactly what I've asked it to do.
Overall, I'm extremely pleased with my purchase, and am glad I went with this over a more expensive competitor rack.
I have to say, Titan has definitely improved its quality since previous reviews about the quality of their racks. I was skeptical at first because for the price, it seemed too good to be true. For what you are paying for, you're going to get a product that does what it's supposed to do - keep you safe in the squat, bench, etc. Is it a rogue? No, I can tell you now if you want a pretty rack, then rogue (if you want westside spacing) is where you're going to want to go or elsewhere. But the Titan rack is going to keep you safe, and its going to last if you take care of it. The welds are not as pretty, not everything is completely flush with each other, there were scratches in the paint, and the packaging was not all that great ( the boxes were a mess and had parts of the metal sticking out of holes in the box made by the parts rubbing or knocking against it). With all that being said, it is completely solid when put together, and I have no doubts when squatting 400+ pounds and needing to bail. The pin pipe safeties are fairly robust and will definitely hold up to heavy weight, I do, however, suggest putting something on them in case of rack pulls or bailing. Metal on metal contact is not so good if you want to maintain barbell knurling.
As for stability, 280 pounds is not easy to move, and if you add on the weight storage, its not going to need to be mounted to the floor. I had zero issues putting the rack together. Everything slipped in just fine. This is a sturdy rack. 11 gauge steel is 11 gauge steel, regardless of where it comes from. Again, is it as nice as a rouge or american barbell or other US made rack, no, not by a long shot. But these racks also cost twice as much and perform the same function. I do plan on getting those in the future when I plan on getting the really heavy duty stuff, but for now, this does what every other rack does for half or even less than half the cost. Along with the westside spacing (1 inch space in between each hole for better bench adjustability, this rack is hard to beat for the price.
Like most everyone else, I wanted a rack comparable to what I'd find at the gym without having to pay Rogue prices. This rack does exactly that. I ordered Friday night, rack shipped on Monday and I received on Friday. Yes, the cardboard boxe it came in was ripped a little. Why? because the 200 + lb steel frame you bought is stronger and heavier than the cardboard box! I'm surprised the FedEx guy just didn't push it out the back of the truck, this thing is heavy.
I put the rack together by myself (yes, have another person help if you can) in about 90 minutes. All holes lined up perfectly and there were no sharp edges around the holes. I have worked out several times so far and do not have any complaints. I thought I might have to bolt it down, but so far the rack has been very stable.
Researched racks for a while and am glad I went with Titan, but I can only vouch for the T3 Deep rack.
I wanted a sturdy rack without spending a fortune. I got exactly that with the T3, while the finish and welds aren't pretty, everything lined up and went together well. I had one small hardware problem and Titan responded quickly and solved the problem above and beyond what many companies would have done, in my experience. I would recommend bolting this down, I used 2 x 10 s and made my own platform so I didn't have to drill into the floor. All in all happy with this and all other equipment I've gotten from Titan.
I am writing this having just completed my first session with this rack and I am impressed. I researched for weeks and finally decided to make the leap of faith despite old reviews with bad info. This is well worth the money and despite some fit and finish misses it is fantastic! The welds are uneven in spots but solid. I put 300 pounds on the bar and it withheld everything even without being bolted. Stop the search - this is the one.
Love my T-3!!! It was a lot cheaper than anything else I could find and is made really well. Paint is easily scratched and has a slight wobble once put together, but still a really great product
Ive heard mostly good reviews on titans racks and when i saw a deep 36" version for the money i bit the bullet. Ordered on a sunday, was at my door by fedex thursday afternoon.well packed for 280 pounds of steel,no damage.constructed in 40 minutes..solid clean sturdy rack.spend the extra few bucks for the deep version if u have the room, very very nice rack, well worth it.i ordered the dip bars qt the same time, nice accessory.
