After reading the reviews for this and having previously been looking at getting a Rogue rack, I figured I would give this a try as I liked the fact that the upright rails were bolted and not welded (like the Rogue rack) so that it would be easier to move if I ever needed to. I also like all of the available attachments for this and I ended up buying several when I ordered this rack.
Shipping: If I could split up my rating, this would be 1 out of 5 stars. Shipping was extremely fast and the rack itself arrived in just 2 days. The problem however is that the rack arrived in two very thin cardboard boxes. Both ends of both boxes were complete destroyed, leaving the metal ends of the uprights and side supports lying in my gravel driveway. The paint on all of the ends was chipped off with a few dings in the metal from apparently being dropped. When I opened up the main box, I only had 3 uprights and one empty plastic bag that used to contain an upright. When I contacted the company (just after lunch on Friday), I got a reply on Tuesday that one would be shipped. That arrived on Saturday. The single upright was shipped in bubble wrap (this is an 82”, 2x3” metal post that weighs >50#). Needless to say, the ends of this upright were far worse than the ones in the cardboard box. There is a section in the middle of the post with missing paint that was damaged in shipping I am assuming. So, before it’s first actual work-out, it already looked well used.
Onto the rack itself...it’s awesome! Very solid construction and once tightened up, this thing doesn’t budge. I have no need to anchor it to the floor, especially with the wider footprint. I added on the multigrip pullup bar which gave it even more sway resistance. I used the extra 1.25” pull-up bar as a lower support for the back and this made it rock solid. I also added on the safety rails and adjustable mono-lifts so thing is now very capable for solo lifting and is easily adjustable for both myself and my wife.
The short and deep pattern is a perfect fit for my basement that has 8ft ceilings. I put the whole thing together by myself including all of the attachments in probably 3 hours. It would have been faster but I didn’t have a big enough socket wrench for this (think it is 16mm) so I had to do it all with two crescent wrenches. I would definitely recommend this product for home or even gym use but wish the shipping was better. Also, the powder coating used on Rogue racks will last a lot longer and doesn’t flake off like this pain but as the paint is cosmetic only, this rack is still the one I would go with as you will save a lot of money and that can be used to get some extra attachments or weights.
I have a rogue monster rack at work which is great, but when it came time to buy one for my home gym I wasn't about to spend that much money. After a lot of research I bought this rack and couldn't be happier. I'm 5'7" and i'm unable to do standing presses in the rack, but I knew his before I bought it. Due to ceiling height in my garage I couldn't get the standard rack. Solid construction and was easy to put together with help from my 14 y/o son. Took about 45 mins.
Very happy with this rack. Exactly what I needed. Glad I did a little research and very happy I chose Titan. Awesome rack excellent customer service.
There are some minor cosmetic issues with uneven or flaking paint, but I've never doubted this power rack's strength and sturdiness. I can slightly wiggle it side to side by hand (I'm considering buying the crossmember), but it has never been an issue during actual lifting. Front to back is completely solid.
The extra depth is a nice luxury. I have my weight plates stored on the pins near the ground, and they've never gotten in the way while I'm lifting.
Any comparable rack I saw elsewhere was much more expensive.
My review matches everyone else's so I won't repeat it. I love this rack. Just a couple things:
- easy to assemble. I did it in just a few minutes with my little kids.
- they sent me only three uprights, but it was during one of the sales so the boxes were probably flying out of the warehouse. I contacted them and they sent another upright right away. No big deal to me - you're not paying premium prices here. Very helpful customer service though.
- people sometimes complain about the boxes getting torn up - it's pretty heavy metal, not sure what they expect. Some things came wrapped in a thick layer of bubble wrap; some things came in boxes that got busted up a little. If you want it gingerly packaged and dropped off neatly organized on a pallet, I think you know which vendor to go with and what you'll pay for that.
- being the "short" deep rack this thing is a tank. At almost 4'x4' I haven't bolted it down yet and it doesn't "walk" at all. If you slam a heavy bar into the uprights you get an inch or two of wobble. When it was just on plywood it might've budged a little; on rubber mats not at all. I'll bolt it just to avoid the annoyance of the shake but I don't even know what you'd have to do to knock this thing over - rack 1000 lbs with some force? Climb on top and swing?
- despite being the short rack it's still sufficiently tall. But just to give you an idea, I'm 5'10" and when doing pullups my feet will touch the floor if I fully extend. I knew that when I purchased it, I'm working with the space I'm limited to. It's still comfortably tall (for me) to walk through no problem, obviously.
All I have to say is, wow.
I have tried purchasing equipment from other companies that have disappointed but this thing is built like a tank. There is absolutely no reason to purchase this rack for 200-300 bucks more from Rogue. Very satisfied with the quality and price. just buy it.
Shipping came almost as soon as I placed the order. I did not expect it to be here within a week. It was 2 separate ships but the second one came 2 days later. I love this rack! Solid and sturdy. If you are looking for a cheaper version than a Rogue Rack, this is it. And the attachments that rogue charges you for are actually included with this rack. I am purchasing all my additional attachments that are also cheaper than Rogue which works perfect with my budget.
I've had this rack for almost a month now and I love it. It is perfect for a garage gym. Short enough to clear my ceiling and stout enough to hold up to daily abuse. Put it together in about an hour by myself. All the welds and the hardware are top notch. Quality and service at a price that's affordable!
So I've been wanting a Power Rack for some time but never wanted to fork over the money for one. I was set on continuing my gym membership instead of making the initial investment.
Well up until recent I switched employers and now my time is so limited that I decided to build my own gym at home. I looked around at many different brands and local retailers. It was until I came across a Body Building forum that I read many people mentioning this product.
Once I jumped on the site and saw what they had to offer for the price I was sold! I received this product along with the dip bars 4 days after placing my order and I live in Central Cali.
After assembling the rack on my own (easy to do) I'm very happy with it. The quality overall and stability is awesome for the price. I local retailer has a comparable item for over Six Hun..
I have a low ceiling in my workout room so this was a Perfect fit! Thanks for the smooth shipping, great price and the quality.. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER HERE!
I would of wished the combo set with bench was in stock but overall I'm happy.
i bought this rack 2 weeks ago. delivery was fast (i think 3 days), setup was easy. My brother and I put it together in about an hour. Can be done by one person but a lot easier if you have a second to hold stuff while you wrench. the quality i think is very good. Welds are top notch, don't see any bures on the Rack at all. The rack is extremely heavy duty. i got the short rack that is 36" deep and it doesn't move, completely solid. i also purchased the dip bars, spotter arms, and the battle ropes. all of which are same quality as the Rack. I love this rack and it totally completes my basement gym. i would/have recommended to friends.
Let me start by saying that it felt like my order arrived the moment I thought about purchasing it. I honestly received my rack in less than 48 hours from the time I submitted my order. Their customer service was so prompt and helpful in answering all of my questions, that I was sold on buying from them before I even saw the equipment. After I assembled my rack, I was absolutely stunned by the quality for the price. I had only one issue with a part of my rack, so I emailed customer support to let them know. Less than 48 hours later, I received a replacement for the part, free of charge. I am recommending them to anyone who will listen. They even called me personally to make sure that I was satisfied and that all of my questions were answered. Kudos to their customer service department.
Upon arrival, I could tell from the weighted two boxes that this is a beast ready to unleash. I felt the cosmetics and welds were fine. I was really impressed with the high-grade hardware, some of the strongest grade in the business. Overall very happy, been watching titan grow for some time and love that r&d continuing to pump out big products.
Quick shipping, incredibly easy to put together, and well made. I could've easily paid over twice as much for some of the other companies power racks but I went with this one for my garage gym. I'm not dissapointed in the slightest. The J hooks are solid and don't trash my bar, the spotter bars are sturdy and I've had to bail 400 pounds on it and it held up well. Haven't tried the dip bars but I'm assuming they're the same great quality.
I bought this rack after watching reviews on YouTube and researching online. It's a great solid rack. I built a platform out of plywood and mounted it to that, this thing barely moves at all. It's perfect. Shipped within a week, only concern was with the included parts. list said certain things came in box 1 and box 2. Since they came on separate days I thought I was going to be missing items but I had everything else in box 2. GREAT JOB TITAN
Absolutely solid rack. Have been using this rack 5 days a week for a few months now and it is just as solid as the day I installed it! I did anchor the rack to the floor. Worth every penny. Came in two very heavy packages. Your delivery person is going to hate you!
It is truly hard to believe you can buy this rack for so cheap. I bought the T-3 short series, 36" deep. With experience in metal working, I can tell you this thing is built like a bull. While I love Rogue, you would easily pay over $1,000 for the same thing there. Why somebody would ever spend that much extra money is beyond me. I am truly shaking my head at this deal wondering what the catch is. I don't ever write reviews, but they blew me away that much. BUY IT!
