This is my first review of a product, but I thought it was necessary to let other know what an amazingly solid piece of equipment this rack is at an affordable price. In my opinion, Titan hit a homer with this rack!
This was without a doubt one of the best purchases I have ever made. For the price, I was absolutely astonished at the quality and thickness of the metal. Also, it seems that Titan has paid attention to complaints because the packaging was well done. This rack is astonishingly solid, and I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't put the floor anchors in the ground, and it doesn't move a millimeter when doing kipping or butterfly pull-ups. The j-cups are great and it doesn't matter that they attach in the same direction rather than in opposite directions. I have squated 300+ pounds (which isn't all that much, but I ran out of bumper plates), and there was no movement. The j-cups are solid and fit tightly so there is essentially know movement.
I am also glad that I went for the 24 inch over the 18 inch rack. Those few extra inches allow for a little extra room for pull-ups and placing a wall rack for barbells. The Westside Barbell holes are a nice practical touch that really makes a functional difference.
Yes the powder coat has some small imperfections, there are a few small dings in the steel and the welds aren't perfect, but it adds a character and it is in a garage gym. Honestly, once it is up, you don't notice any of those things. What you do notice is that the rack is very impressive and solid. I absolutely love this rack and wouldn't waste double the money on a perfect pretty little rack so that I can admire the welds and perfect powder coat.
I truly appreciate the fact that Titan made such a solid piece of equipment for a reasonable price that a normal person can afford without selling their first born child. Great job Titan!
